What to expect during the HALO laser treatment?

We will begin by applying a topical anesthetic on your skin to ensure your procedure is comfortable. We will then use motion tracking technology to measure the targeted treatment area for your HALO laser resurfacing. This ensures the full area is treated evenly.

Each treatment section will be addressed by rolling the HALO laser handpiece over the skin. As the process takes place, progress is measured by the Sciton system which will recognize the evenness of the treatment and signal its completion.

The topical anesthetic combined with Sciton’s integrated cooling technology makes the treatment less uncomfortable for patients. However, you will experience a feeling of heat and occasional prickling sensations. You will continue to feel the heating sensation after the treatment, which dissipates in one or two hours.

Sciton HALO laser FAQs

How soon will I see results after Halo?

Your healing process after Halo can take up to 2 weeks, as the skin sheds its outer damaged layer. Once this outer skin has been shed, your complexion will appear softer, smoother, and more youthful. You should continue to cleanse and exfoliate the skin at home in order to preserve your results.

Is Halo treatment painful?

Your practitioner will apply a topical anesthetic to the skin to ensure your comfort during your session. Most clients experience Halo as a mild warm prickling sensation. Following Halo, we will apply a healing gel to help moisturize the skin.

How soon after Halo can I return to normal activities?

Patients can typically resume normal activities after 24 hours. For the first day, however, you should take care to follow our instructions and avoid direct sun exposure. Your skin will begin peeling; however, this won’t typically impede your ability to apply makeup. Within 3-4 days, you’ll see a beautiful, pristine new layer of skin emerge.
